At Laser Red, we enjoy working with companies from all over the country (and world); however, we always love having the opportunity to be more involved in our local community. Whether it’s supporting local charities, actively participating in community events, or building strong partnerships with our neighbouring businesses, we love getting stuck in. Which is exactly why we loved visiting myenergi in their office just down the road.
Shared values
Grimsby is fortunate to be home to myenergi, a company with a mission to create a more sustainable future. Luckily for us, they’re a company whose headquarters are also located just a stone’s throw away from our own Grimsby office.
Recently, some of our marketing team members popped into myenergi for a coffee and a catch-up to find out more about what they’re currently working on. As we walked through their expansive, open-plan workspace, we couldn’t help but notice some similarities contributing to the seamless operation of our offices.
Our shared love of coffee immediately caught our attention the moment we walked into their shared kitchen space. We felt right at home as soon as we were given a hot cup of coffee to tour their offices with.
Every corner of their offices buzzed with spirited conversations and dedicated focus on ongoing projects. It felt like home, especially when we came across some familiar-looking neon signs that reminded us of our very own.
Planning for future growth
While the list of shared company perks could go on, what truly struck a chord with us was the familiar feeling of genuine appreciation for each employee within myenergi. Our meeting was a shining testament to a positive and collaborative environment where questions were welcomed, and creative suggestions flowed freely.
As we all strive to look after our planet and live more sustainably, we loved seeing all the zappi charging stations available to their staff and visitors in the myenergi carpark. With so many of their own staff having a range of different electric vehicles, it was incredible to see how versatile the zappi truly is. It also reminded us of our very own zappi which sits outside our offices ready to charge our own electric cars.
Together, we worked on a plan for myenergi’s marketing strategies moving forward, as well as hearing about all the exciting achievements their business was celebrating.

The compact (yet impactful) eddi was an absolute revelation, showcasing how even the smallest device can harness excess energy from solar panels to heat water. Something we didn’t even know was possible before working with myenergi.
Our partnership with myenergi has not just been a professionally rewarding one, but also a journey of discovery. It is a partnership with shared values, aspirations and goals that merge seamlessly, and we are excited about continuing to shape the future together.
