As we welcome in 2024, we are also welcoming a brand new member to our growing team. A warm welcome to our latest addition to the Laser Red marketing team, Shannon!
Shannon is joining the business as a PPC Marketing Junior and is looking forward to getting stuck into her new role.
Before venturing into the world of marketing, Shannon attended the University of Dundee, and received an English Literature Bachelor’s degree. She initially had plans to go into teaching, but after a brief stint in a local school, found that her heart wasn’t in it.
She decided to pursue other avenues and started her marketing career with CJ Lang & Son, ultimately finding her passion! She spent two years with CJ Lang before making the decision to move down to Lincoln from Dundee, so started looking for marketing opportunities that would allow her to further expand her industry knowledge. Step in Laser Red…
When we asked Shannon why she wanted to join the team at Laser Red, this is what she had to say:
“I really wanted to find a company that aligned with my own values and work ethic. I had dabbled in PPC and SEO marketing in my previous role and found it incredibly interesting, so I jumped at the chance to join Laser Red and continue to develop in my marketing career. I really appreciate the company’s dedication to learning and improving both your personal and professional development, and I can’t wait to see myself grow in this role.”
Shannon is now coming to an end of her first week with us, so we have asked her what her experience working with Laser Red has been like so far, here’s what she had to say:
“My first week has been a whirlwind so far, and I have enjoyed every minute of it! The entire team has made me feel so welcome and everyone has been so friendly and supportive. I am really enjoying learning about how the company operates, and I am looking forward to working with their diverse range of clients. I really can’t wait to get stuck into my role and grow my skills and knowledge. I am also looking forward to my first agency day and team event.”
When we welcome a new team member here at Laser Red, we like to include a little bit about their personality. Shannon is a big film fanatic and keeps an excel spreadsheet where she rates every new film she watches.
She has three cats and is looking forward to welcoming her first dog into the home later this year. She is also an avid baker which always goes down well here at Laser Red!
